As I stare out the window of my beautiful apartment, I hope that I’ve made the right decision to move back to the city that holds so many memories. I’ve chosen my home on the top-floor and in a quiet area because feeling safe and secure is important to me.

But on my first day, I’m involved in a heart-stopping accident on the leafy-green street. A stranger comes to my rescue – if it wasn’t for his actions, I wouldn’t be alive. I’m shaken but grateful, so I invite him in.

And that’s the moment that everything changes. I shouldn’t have trusted him. I should have kept myself to myself, like I planned to do.

Because the truth is, I might look like the perfect new neighbour but if anyone finds out my secret it could destroy me…


My Review;

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. It drew me in from the very beginning, with an 'easy-read' style that I love, & was well written. The characters came across as authentic & likable. 

If I'm honest, I was left feeling a little disappointed at the ending though; in the sense that it had built up throughout the book, with various twists along the way, to a crescendo, but then it seemed to be over in just a short blink, which after being drawn-out, did leave me feeling as though the writer could've given more, but overall, it was deffo a great read, & a book I'm glad I have read.

Based on a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would rate this book an 8.

= Deffo a gripping read, & I would deffo recommend.
