My Review;

Wow! Such a GREAT, utterly GRIPPING read! 👌👌👌

This book drew me in from the very beginning, was written in a very easy-to-read style, & kept a good pace, throughout. The characters came across as authentic, & it kept me guessing almost to the end!

This told the story of Lizzie, - now as an adult, - who's mum has just gotten married, but at the wedding, Lizzie recognizes the daughter of her now step-dad, from a school trip when she was a child, & had a traumatic experience, from where she had felt responsible for causing the death of a mother, - the now 'step-sisters' mother; where she died from anaphylaxis from a peanut allergy, which Lizzie had felt responsible for causing. At first the step-sister, Alison, doesn't appear to have recognized Lizzie, from when they were children, on that fateful school trip, but when Lizzie's mum, Judith, is due to go off on her honeymoon, she instead ends up having a fall down the stairs, fracturing her ankle, & Alison, a trained nurse, steps in to take care of Lizzie's mum, whilst she is recovering. But with Judith growing weaker, much more tired, & with other strange occurances going on too, Lizzie becomes highly anxious & suspicious that Alison is in fact harming & drugging her mum; that she's out to harm Judith, & get payback, for Lizzie being responsible for her losing her mum, all those years ago. As Lizzie becomes more convinced, her husband fears she is becoming more paranoid, & heading for another breakdown, - but there's more than one secret being kept! & is Lizzie right?!!! = You'll have to read it to find out!!! 😉

Based on a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would have to give this book a rating of a whopping ⭐10! ⭐.

= Deffo a MUST-READ, if you like a good, fast paced, Psychological Thriller!
