ð Such A Good Husband;
My Review! ð
Written by Rowen Chambers,
Blurb;
She thought she’d found the perfect man… until she married him.
After years of unsuccessful dating, Anna was ready to give up, until she met Ethan, a handsome and successful lawyer.
She immediately knew he was the one and married him a few months later. But just minutes after they said their vows, Anna noticed Ethan was treating her differently. He became impatient with her, almost angry, and dismissed her concerns.
She brushed off his behavior as wedding day jitters, but in the weeks that follow, her new husband continues to do and say things that don’t sit right with her. She feels like he’s turning against her, but doesn’t understand why.
She assumed Ethan married her for love, but there was something else he wanted. And he’d do anything to get it.
The only thing standing in his way… is Anna.
My Review;
So this book I found easy to get into from the beginning, written in an easy-to-read style. It also kept a good pace throughout.
This told the story of unlucky-in-love Anna, who seemingly by fate meets Ethan, & within just 3 months they are married, & sharing a new house together in the suburbs in a new neighbourhood. Anna believes she's found her true love, and everybody comments on how Ethan is 'such a good husband', but things start to change when Ethan's mother, Rose, has a fall at home which results in her ending up in hospital, after which she goes to stay with Anna & Ethan, & Anna is left to take care of her new mother-in-law.
Anna starts becoming forgetful, then confused, then she starts suffering with dizzy spells, & all Anna can think about is that she might have early on-set dementia, which her own mother had developed before she died.
But is Anna really getting forgetful & confused? & is Ethan 'such a good husband? ', ...
I'm not going to comment any more on the story as I don't want to give any spoilers, but based on a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would give this book a rating of 8.
= Another gripping read written by Rowen Chambers! Perfect for those who love a good psychological thriller!
