My Review! 🧸

They took my baby. They said I agreed. They’re lying. But I’ll get my daughter back. Whatever it takes.
I didn’t have the best start in life. But I know I’ll be a good mother. I’m determined to create a safe, loving home for my child. The kind I never had.
I wake up strapped to a hospital bed after a difficult labor.
That’s when they drop the bombshell. “We’re taking your baby away. I’m sorry.”
And just like that, Lily’s gone.
They say it’s for her own good. They say I signed the papers.
But I didn’t.
When I try to prove it, things get worse. The cops can’t find a single record of my existence. No past. No baby. No me.
Someone hasn’t just stolen my daughter. They’ve erased my whole life.

My Review;
I found this book easy to get into from the beginning, & it kept me reading from beginning to the very end.
What a whirlwind of an emotional rollercoaster this book took me through!
It tells the story of Amber, who had her baby taken away from her at birth; not by consent, but in a hushed up black-market baby adoption program. Amber is homeless, and despite numerous threats along the way, she doesn't give up on wanting to find her baby, - 'and' get her own identity back, after she had been erased from every system.
I don't want to give any spoilers, so won't comment more on the story line, but I enjoyed reading this, & Amber's determination to expose what they were doing to young women like her was both moving & heroic.
Based on a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would give this book a rating of 7.
= Deffo one to read!
This book will be available from 24th November!
