🏠 The Stranger Inside;  My Review! 🏠 Blurb; You’re behind bars, framed for a crime you didn’t commit. Midwife Ciara Duffy goes to sleep and wakes in the small hours to find her husband beside her – stabbed through the heart. Soon she is arrested and charged with his murder. You get one chance to run. Ciara knows she is innocent. She has no one to rely on. Meanwhile, her young daughter is gravely ill. Ciara has to fight – by any means necessary. Do you take it? The day comes when getting out might be possible. But Ciara’s choices are bleak: hope justice prevails and she gets to her daughter in time. Or become a fugitive on the hunt for a killer. My Review; Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. It drew me in from the very beginning, & kept me reading through to the end. I did find this a bit of a heavier read, as opposed to an 'easy read' style, but the plot had various twists & turns, so the style was written fittingly to incorperate these. This tells the story of m...

🏠 The Couple Before Us; My Review! 🏠

Image
🏠 The Couple Before Us; My Review! 🏠 (Written by Daniel Hurst) Blurb; ‘Something terrible happened to the couple who lived here before…’ My hands shake as I read the warning note I’ve just found hidden in a forgotten corner of my brand new house. My husband told me we’d be the first people to live here. Did he lie? Moving to this gorgeous house was meant to be a new start for our family. My hand rests on my growing baby bump as I walk through our home, the smell of fresh paint in the air, but my heart no longer feels full of hope for the future. My husband Christian wraps his strong arms around me and tells me to forget the note; he wants this to be the perfect home for us. But as I look into his blue-grey eyes, I wonder if there’s something he’s keeping from me or if I’m just being paranoid. Was there a couple who lived here before? And what happened to them? I try to forget my worries like Christian asked, but then I see something in our next-door neighbour’s garden that I ca...

⚠️ The App;  My Book Review! ⚠️ (Written by Stuart James) Blurb; The App... Once you're in, they'll never let you leave . Whatever happens, don't download The App. * It will come in the form of a link. Maybe in your DM's on a social media account, the junk folder of your emails or a WhatsApp message from a friend. * You'll be enticed by the chance of winning one hundred thousand pounds on offer every Friday, wired straight into the winner's bank account. * It's not a joke. * This part is genuine. * Someone can and will win the money. * But at what cost? Marty Benson gets the link sent to him by a friend. So what is the harm in looking? He clicks it, downloads the app and enters a few basic details. A message prompts him to wait while he's loaded onto the system. An hour later, another message. • Do not delete the app. • Do not tell anyone outside of your family about the app. • Send the link to one person who is close to you. * Do not throw your phone ...

❤️πŸ’™ The Switch; My Book Review, πŸ’™❤️

❤️πŸ’™ The Switch; My Book Review, πŸ’™❤️ (Written by Lily Samson) Blurb; Whose life do you want? Elena and her partner Adam are house-sitting in Wimbledon and find themselves instantly seduced by their upscale surroundings and their enigmatic new neighbours Sophia and Finn. When Sophia proposes a wicked game to Elena whereby they will swap partners in secret, it's not long before Elena starts to experience a sexual awakening that blossoms into an illicit love affair. But Sophia's plans are far more complex and dangerous than Elena could ever have imagined… How far will she go to fulfil her desires? My Review; This tells the story of how two women come to agree to carrying out a night-time switch over; seeing them climb into bed with each other's oblivious partners, & then initiating, & engaging in sex with them, before then switching back, afterwards, - with their partners left completely in the dark. This 'switch'-over happens 3 times throughout, but it obvi...

🏠 The Silent Guest; My Book Review! 🏠 (Written by Sally Rigby) Blurb; I've been waiting years for this moment. When Vivienne Campbell needs a housesitter, I make sure I'm the perfect candidate. ⚠️ Doll House; My Review! ⚠️

Image
⚠️ Doll House;  My Review! ⚠️ (Doll House, Written By John Hunt) Blurb; "All you girls were less than human. Play things in a twisted doll house." Olivia is taken from the sidewalk near her college and thrown into a van. Her captors, who she soon discovers are vile, sadistic monsters, abuse her immediately, both mentally and physically. Then she is taken into a house, into a locked room, where everything is cotton candy pink. The pink furniture is designed with rounded edges and corners bolted to the floor, and the seams at the bolts melted. This is where the nightmare begins. She is now a part of their collection. While disturbing in nature and horrific at times, John Hunt has created a masterpiece psychological thriller, full of suspense. Olivia makes heroines of similar genre books pale in comparison. She is one of the bravest you'll ever meet and her story will move you. My Review; "Wow!" - Thats's one word I would deffo use to describe this book! = It...

✒️ Dear Future Me; My Book Review! ✒️

Image
✒️ Dear Future Me; My Book Review! ✒️ (Book Written By  Deborah O'Connor) Blurb; Twenty years ago, a group of students each wrote themselves a letter - Dear Future Me - confiding their deepest dreams and their very darkest secrets. Now the letters, thought long discarded, have begun to drop through letterboxes. For some they will make them re-evaluate the decisions they've made, the person they could have been. For others, the letters could be deadly . . . My Review; I really enjoyed reading this book. It drew me in straight away; from the very beginning, & not only did it keep me utterly gripped, & wanting to just keep reading more, but it kept me guessing the whole way through, too! Although this book includes a number of 'class-mate' characters, its' told mainly from one main character; Audrey, who tries to piece together what has happened to her best friend, & through various secrets being, or having been kept, that's how all the other characte...

⚠️ The Tapes; My Book Review! ⚠️

Image
⚠️ The Tapes; My Book Review! ⚠️ The Tapes, Written By Kerry Wilkinson, ★★★★★ Blub; ‘If you’re listening to this, I’ve been murdered.’ Eve is clearing her father’s house when she finds an old cassette player and a box of tapes. Though grieving, she smiles at the spark of nostalgia. One tape is labelled ‘Eve’ – in her mother, Angela’s, scrawled handwriting. She disappeared for good more than ten years ago. The tape whirrs. A voice crackles. ‘My name is Angela’. Tears fill Eve’s eyes at the familiar voice, at the thought this message is just for her. But the next words make her heart pound. ‘If they say I’m missing, I’m not. If you’re listening to this, I’ve been murdered.’ Desperate for answers, Eve has no one left to ask – only a box of tapes that could lead to the truth. But the more she listens, the more she realises she can never go to the police… Because Eve’s mother had her own secrets. But what if her killer is still out there? And what if Eve is next? ★★★★★ My Review I rea...

πŸ₯€ Lauren Is Missing; My Book Review‼️ πŸ₯€ Lauren Is Missing, Written By S.J. King, Blurb; November. Wednesday. I think he’s going to kill me. Every day, in her basement flat in a quiet street, Rene arranges her collection of objects just so. She takes her pills, looks at her photographs and remembers her free-spirited sister, Lauren, before she vanished. But lately the memories are shifting. When a letter arrives out of the blue, the opening words send ice through her veins. Lauren is alive. She’s waiting. And she needs Rene to find her before it’s too late. My Review; So I've just finished reading this, & to be honest I'm a bit torn over how I feel about this book as a whole. I never include spoilers in my reviews, & due to the way this book is written, & its plot, I can't really comment on specifics without giving it away, so at first I wasn't going to review this book at all, BUT, - from the beginning, it drew me in, '&' it KEPT me reading i...
