My Review! ⚽

Written by Rowen Chambers,

Blurb;

After a horrible first marriage, Nora found martial bliss with Roger, a loving husband and devoted stepfather to Owen, Nora's teenage son.

But Owen has never fit in. The town whispers that he's strange. Dangerous, even. And if they knew who his father was, they'd be terrified.

Nora has kept that secret buried for years. She made Owen swear never to reveal the truth about where he came from... or what he might have inherited.

Then Nora finds a blood-stained shovel hidden in the shed.

Owen insists he's innocent. Roger thinks Nora is overreacting. But Nora sees the signs—the same chilling traits she once ignored in her first husband.

As fear tightens around her family, the past claws its way back, threatening to repeat itself.

And when the truth finally surfaces, it's far darker—and far closer—than Nora ever imagined.

My Review;

I found this book easy to get into from the very beginning, & alike other books written by Rowen Chambers, this is written in an easy-to-read style, & keeps a good pace throughout.

This tells the story of Nora, her son, Owen, & her husband, Roger. Her ex-husband is a serial killer, locked up in prison, and understandably, Nora is worried for her son, Owen, as he's described as, being 'odd', & a loner, & she's worried that he, may have inherited his dads' killer genes/tendencies.

When men start dissapearing & she starts to find mementos from those who have dissapeared without trace, she starts to see history repeating itself, with her son in the frame for murder, - but is all as it seems? Is Owen really a killer?

I'm not going to comment further on the storyline as I don't want to reveal any spoilers, but based on a rating of 1-10, where 10 is the highest, I would have to give this book a rating of 8!

= Deffo a great read, & perfect for any psychological thriller fans!
